Nice Hotel in Brighton for a romantic weekend?

Q. Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend a nice hotel in Brighton, it is for my boyfriends birthday but i am on a bit of a budget ideally don't want to spend more than £100 a night.

Has anyone recently been to Brighton and been really impressed with a hotel??

All suggestions welcome
Thanks C x

A. Try this for a fairly cheap stay...£145 for 2 people for 2 nights this weekend.

Unless you are desperate for Brighton why not look on that site at Eastbourne where you can get 4* hotels for the same money? Also others starting at £125 again total price for 2 people and 2 nights.

Good luck anyway...wish my girlfriend would treat me like that!!!

A summary of the attempted bombing of Margaret Thatcher in Brighton?
Q. Hi, can I have a summary of what happened in 1984 when the IRA planted a bomb at a Tory conference in a hotel in Brighton? This isn't for homework or anything, I'm just curious as you who/what/why/how and all that. Thanks in advance!

A. IRA bombed the hotel being used by the Tories for their Party Conference - unfortunately for us the old bag survived - did more damage to this country than anyone before or since - I will hold a massive party when she snuffs it the hag!

Where can I find a good set lunch menu in Brighton?
Q. I am going to Brighton this weekend with a group of 16 and we would all like to go out for lunch on Saturday. Budget for this is quite limited so I am ideally looking for a nice place that will have a set menu (or party menu) of 2 or 3 courses for under £15. Does anybody have any suggestions? Thanks!

A. Try the Grill at Lansdowne Place Hotel for both style and affordable good value. Lunch around 12 quid. Modern European venue. The fillet of beef with potato rosti and red wine jus is superb. Recommended.
Lansdowne Place, BN3 1HQ
