How would I go about traveling the world?

Q. I plan on traveling the world after high school or college. I don't want it to be hotel to hotel travel. I wan't to have many experiences around the world, working around the world, not just sleeping in a cozy hotel and visiting tourist attractions.

Basically, a plan that would require work or long hours as opposed to money and airplanes for travel.

A. The best way to get to know locality/culture and to familiarize yourself with your surroundings and make some friends (who will no doubt influence your next move) is to go somewhere, find the local work that accomodates travellers, it might be fruit picking or tourism and work the job for a few weeks. After that your whole opinion on how you want to travel will change. You will find out what you're capable of putting up with, a hotel room will be nice once in a while when you've not had a shower for a week coz you're sleeping under the stars. My advice go EVERYWHERE.

Is a company required to pay travel expenses for an employee's guest if both are invited to a dinner party?
Q. In planning a corporate holiday dinner party, is the company required to pay for flight/hotel/travel expenses for an out-of-state employee's guest if the employee + a guest are invited to the dinner party?

A. If they are required to go to the dinner party, yes.

If it is optional, no.

How much does it cost to travel for six months in Italy and france?
Q. I would like to travel in Europe when I get older and was just wondering about how much it would cost for food hotel travel expenses Ect. Because I want to start saving

A. The first thing you need to know is that, unless you have citizenship of an EU country, you cannot stay in both France and Italy for 6 months. You're only allowed to stay for 90 days out of every 180 day in the entire Schengen Zone (that's all of Western Europe plus some other countries).

You'll need to look at the cost of airfare - and the cost depends on where you're coming from and which city you want to fly into, and the time of year you're flying.. Once you've worked that out have a look at Webjet where you can compare costs with different airlines.

Hotels can cost between 50 to 1000s of euros per night. Most are around 100 to 150 euros. But, as you're young, you might opt for staying in hostel dorms which will cost around 25 to 35 euros per night.

Then you'll need travel costs between cities, and it's not possible to put a cost on this because we have no idea of where you want to go. But train is the best way to travel through Europe.

Food costs vary depending on whether you want to just buy sandwiches, yoghurt, salads from a supermarket, eat in a cafe, or buy from expensive tourist restaurants.

You will also need travel insurance. This is a must and will cover lost baggage, accommodation if your flights or trains are cancelled and, most importantly, will cover you for unforseen medical and/or hospital costs, including medivac if you need to be transported home.

So, basically it's not possible to give costs because there are so many variables, and prices will certainly change over time. I really suggest you get travel guides to both Italy and France, and work out where you want to go and what you want to see. These guides will give you approximate costs for transport, food, hotel at all levels, and hostel costs. Lonely Planet have good guides, and also one called "Europe on a Shoestring" which is aimed at budget travellers and backpackers. Have a look in your local library.
