Q. We're planning a vacation for 3 or 4 and cannot decide on a beach. If at all possible we would like to stay away from New Jersey as there are fees to enter the beach. But we'd just like some pros and cons of delaware and maryland beaches(:

A. What you spend on a hotel at a Delmarva beach will probably cover a hotel at a Jersey beach and the beach fees. Most of the hotels aren't cheap.
My favorite is Rehoboth Beach because that is where I've gone since I was a small kid. There is an amusement area, shops, and restaurants. And I always crave a Nic-O-Boli from Nicola Pizza on N. 1st St.

Q. close to the beach,boardwalk and not a dive.
A. I don't know. I was there a couple of times, it's really nice there. I stayed at a really nice hotel called the Sleep Inn both times.
What are some good restaurants in Rehoboth Beach?
