Me and my cousin want to move to Brighton, England around April. What exactly will we need?
Q. We plan on going to Brighton in April for about a month or so to see how we like it. Will we be able to live as if we were still in the United States? Are there any community colleges that we can attend or will we have to attend universities? Will we be able to get jobs? And where should we look for housing?

A. Your question is full of contradictions it is hard to answer it precisely.

Firstly if you only plan on coming to the United Kingdom for a month then:

- It would be pointless attending school of any form
- Having a job.

and you wouldn't be able to any of the above without the required visas.

If you are only coming here for a month, then you should come as tourist and see what you think of Brighton. As American citizens you would not need a visa to visit. You would live in hotels, bed & breakfasts and motels etc like any other tourist.

To study and/or work in the United Kingdom is completely different and requires a lot of money and a long-term commitment.

My advice to you is to just come and visit - you can stay for a maximum of 6 months - visa free - providing you can show that you have the necessary funds to support yourself and you posses an onward and/or round-trip ticket.

If you are serious about studying in the United Kingdom, or if you want more information, help, guidance or clarification regarding visiting the United Kingdom then feel free to contact me directly either via email or Yahoo messenger.(click my profile).

Can anyone help me to find accomodation for Saturday night in Brighton this weekend please?
Q. I have searched so many hotels and B&Bs for this weekend and nobody seems to have availability. I'd be happy with anything and would greatly appreciate some help or suggestions for where to look.

Thanks

A. Brighton and Hove very busy this time of year - suggest you use following sites - laterooms.com, momondo.com and agoda.com.
Try booking angels, type in brighton - seen bed and breakfast for this saturday £60 upwards - hope that helps.
