Q. I am looking to take a trip up to Las Vegas from Sacramento. Not sure where to go to get the good deals. If anyone knows where to find package deals on flight and hotel, I would really appreciate it. I've heard people talk about even getting several nights of free hotel stays, is this true? A. Its a great time to visit Vegas right now. I found rooms for $29 @ Circus Circus . . $59 @ NY NY Casino .. . $135 @ Mandalay Bay. All great prices. Not to mention cheap flights on travelocity.com from Sacramento to Vegas . . . around $110pp

Q. A group of friends and I are planning a short vacation to Las Vegas. We are planning to stay for three days and looking for an economic stay in a hotel close to casinos and the main entertainment. Any suggestions, it is my first time going to Las Vegas. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
A. Hate referring you to a competitor, but Living Social Escapes, Travelzoo and LasVegasDeals have great hotel packages. Try googling the words daily, vegas and deals -- you should be able to find lots of good deals popping up. Any off The Strip hotels provide good value. Either behind the Strip on Paradise Road or west of I-15. Restaurants are much cheaper, too. Fremont Street, the old downtown Strip is a fun place to visit and hotels are cheaper and friendlier than Strip casinos. You'll have to drive or taxi to there. Palace Station is just on the other side of the Strip, has good room prices and the buffets with a player card are $4.99 for breakfast, $6.99 for lunch and $9.99 for dinner. Food is good and the value is phenomenal. Gold Coast is on Tropicana west of the Strip and offers pretty good values with lots of restaurants. If you really wanna know what Las Vegas is about, take a tour to Red Rock Canyon or Mt. Charleston. I hardly ever go to the Strip any more, but enjoy these natural beauties almost daily. Have fun!

A. You are going to have such a good time! Have you looked into the Luxor Hotel? They have a special coupon that's floating around for stay 2 nights and only pay for 1. You end up paying for less than $60 a night. You can even use it to stay for more than 2 nights and get the same deal
