What is the cheap but best hotel in terms of location, safeness ,cleanliness (value of money)? i want near an MRT , night market or no for as long not so deserted place ... But the most important thing is near the MRT station so i can go anywhere easily. Thanks..

A. Hi
there's currently a hotel shortage in Singapore and even the budget hotels have gone above SGD100 per night.

But you could try the following for value and location:

1. New 7th Storey Hotel. Clean basic rooms according to reviews. 5 min walk to Bugis MRT.

2. Hotel 81 Rochor. Convenient location near Little India. 10 min walk to Bugis MRT.

3. For about SGD 50 more, you could get the YMCA International House at the end of Orchard Rd (from SGD 180 ++). 3 min walk from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station.

Have a nice trip.
