How much is it usually for a really nice hotel in Istanbul?

Q. I am going to Turkey with my family this spring or summer. We were looking online for rates and for the Legacy Ottoman hotel it is approximately $150 per night, but it's a really REALLY nice hotel so I was wondering how it is not more expensive... is that an accurate price? Thank you so much.

What is the best and cheapest way to get from the airport in Istanbul to Sultanahmet Area?
Q. I was wondering what the best method might be, and if this is a good area for moderately priced hotels in Istanbul?

Thanks so much guys!

A. i think (light rail and modern tramway together) are the simpliest and cheapest way to go to sultanahmet area.urban buses are complicated and you should change more than once.taxi is the best but most expensive.
i share a map of railway transportation on that link.you should get on light rail in havalimani(airport) and then get off in one of Zeytinburnu or Aksaray(you can see in map).you should change the transporter and get on modern tramway in Zeytinburnu or Aksaray(choose one of them).that will take u to sultanahmet area.consequently you will use two different vehicles to go to sultanahmet.price of ticket is about one dolar.so maybe with two dollars you can go to sultanahmet area.link of map is below

What are the most prestigious and fashionable areas in Istanbul, Turkey?
Q. I am interested in finding an upscale area to stay, safety (even at night), upscale shopping (Chanel, Hermes, LV etc.), Istanbul theater and opera. Middle aged or older crowd, preferbaly mostly europeans/ americans. Not interested in crazy nightlife and clubbing. Any restaurant recommendations greatly appreciated. How is Sultanahmet area?

A. Nisantasi/ Tesvikiye area or Etiler area in European side, Bagdat Street area in Asian side.
There is a Princess Hotel in Ortakoy ( in the European side)and a Princess Hotel in Suadiye (in the Asian side.) I think they may be suitable for you.

Bagdat Street is lively at nights and also on Sundays, most shops are open till late hours and also on Sundays, there are many cafes, restaurants and shops, many of the shops are upscale ( most places are closed except for malls on Sunday- even in Nisantasi-Tesvikiye area , the malls and cafes are open but most shops in the streets are closed )but most of the theaters, operas are on the European side.
European side is more close to touristic areas.
Asian side is mostly residential.

Sutanahmet area is very touristic but not that luxurious. It may not be comfortable in the way you search.

YOu can find the kind of shops you mention and such in Nisantasi/ Tesvikiye area, in Etiler area , in Bagdat Street area, in Canyon Mall ( very luxurious mall in Levent), in Akmerkez Mall(Ulus/ Etiler area- mostly luxuruous- has been a while it opened, but it's a good one ), and in some other malls like IstinyePark ( Istinye), Cevahir Mall (Sisli) and so on.
