What songs can i play in a piano bar?

Q. i've been hired in a 5 star hotel and i wanna be in the zone. i don't really know what oldies and rich people would want to hear. what do pianists usually play in places like these?

A. I don't know how you could go wrong with George Gershwin, Cole Porter, or Glenn Miller selections. But you might throw in some classic Beatles, Byrds, Elvis or something and see what kind of reaction you get.

Or better yet, ask a bartender who's been there awhile and ask him what goes over best. P.S. I'm from Indiana, so if you can play Hoagy Carmichael's Stardust or Heart & Soul that would be great!

Q. Just want to know the cheapest way to get and stay there for a few days. Doesn't have to fast ride and good hotel. By the way I live in America so I don't need to go by plane.

Where to stay in Manhattan so that everything is a walking distance a walking distance away?

Q. I am new to NYC and USA i am alone so i don't want to get mugged or lost...i want to stay in a hotel that is a walking distance of some real cool places...i just want to get a feel of the city it's OK if i don't see Ellis Island and the empire state building .
