Best New York (Queens) hotels that are Bed Bugs FREE?
Q. Hi guys,

I understand NYC is pretty much infested with bed bugs and there are even lawsuits filed against hotels infested with those bugs.

I wouldn't if I could, but I HAVE TO travel to NY for a business and need a hotel in Queens that is bed bugs free!

I understand this kind of infestation can happen to any hotel out there, but still like to hear opinions of some of you out there. There must be hotels that are more aware of this issue and take appropriate preventative action such as using a bed bug cover onto their mattresses etc.

BTW, I will arrive in the LaGuardia airport and hotels near the airport, or anywhere in Queens for that matter would work.

Thanks a lot in advance!

A. This is a tough call and it would probably be easier to rule out the hotels which have ever been reported:

The Helmsley Park Lane Hotel New York - they once had a lawsuit some 2 years back for bedbugs
New York Inn, New York City, New York
Eastgate Tower Hotel
Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers
Carter Hotel New York City
La Quinta Inn Manhattan
Comfort Inn Manhattan
Radisson Lexington Hotel New York
Westin New York Times Square
Latham Hotel
Quality Hotel
Paramount
Belvedere Hotel
Milford Plaza Hotel
Edison Hotel
W New York Court
Flatotel
Warwick Hotel
Chelsea Lodge
Warwick Hotel
Park South

Certain NYC regions have also registered a number of reports:
Riverside Drive
Park Avenue

A good resource for these reports is: http://bedbugregistry.com

By the way the presence of bed bugs has got nothing to do with dirt, they spread easy and breed well even in clean hotels so don't be fooled to thinking that a posh hotel may not have cases of bed bugs.

Ideally, I haven't come across bedbug reports on Accommodations within LaGuardia and some are:

Less than $100:
-- Laguardia Airport Hotel New York City
-- Holiday Inn Laguardia Airport New York City

More than $100:
-- Holiday Inn Express Laguardia Airport...
-- Howard Johnson Hotel Laguardia Airport...
-- Fairfield Inn Laguardia Airport New...
-- Clarion Hotel La Guardia Airport New...
-- Lexington Marco Laguardia Hotel New...
-- Marriott Hotel Laguardia Airport New...
-- Hampton Inn Laguardia Airport New York...
-- Crowne Plaza Hotel Laguardia Airport...
-- Sheraton Hotel Laguardia East New York...

Now that you have an idea of where NOT TO GO, you can find a complete listing with all the hotel amenities, facilities, and even be able to compare rates at:
