Q. Im having trouble with finding all the costs and charges to go to London. I need help with finding how much itd cost normally for a Round Trip to the UK from Oklahoma, USA. How much would a normal hotel cost in London and how much would i need on gifts or souvineers and just daily trips out (if we walk mostly) we will go to cheap places to eat and maybe a few couple expensive spots... A. Expect to spend around £100 p/d minimum for back[acker accomodation and eating cheaply. Don't bother walking around (even though it's a great way to see London). First-time visitor to Portland OR for two nights with wife. What are the local dining "institutions"?
Q. Never been to Portland Oregon. Going to be there for two nights, staying at a hotel by the Lloyd Center. Wife and I want to visit true "Portland" dining institutions -- anything from dive bars and shacks to fine dining. Also open to suggestions on bars/clubs/entertainment -- basically all the cool stuff a young couple in their 30s would want to do.

A. I used to go to London for a week every month for business.
I *always* stayed at the Landmark Hotel (near Baker St., right in front of the Marylebone tube station).
As soon as I saw your post I KNEW it had happened there...the place was always full of Saudis.
Sigh.
