When does La Quinta charge your card?

Q. I'm going to florida in about a week to visit my boyfriend and were going on a trip so we need a hotel. I was just wondering if anyone knows when they charge your card at La Quinta hotel? Meaning do the charge when you book or later when you've stayed? I want to make sure I have enough money on my card to pay for everything.

A. unless they tell you (some have differing policies), they charge your card upon your departure (after you complete your stay!)

Do you have to be 21 or have a 21 year old in the room with you for all hotels in CO?

Q. I'm only 20, and so's my boyfriend. He's coming down to visit me for a week, and I just called one La Quinta hotel and they said an adult (21+) would have to be in the room with us at all times. I'm just wondering if it's like that for all hotels because of a state law, or are there exceptions? Please help! Thank you.

A. I've booked hotels before, but using an online booking site, and many places have let me check in. In fact, I've never had a problem checking in to those places.

I would use an online Web site (expedia, hotels.com, priceline, whatev.) to do it anyways, because they tend to be cheaper than booking straight through the hotel. Plus, if you have a credit/debit card to book with, that's all they really ask for to check in. Don't mention anything about it when checking in. If they don't ask, they don't need to know. I think most of the time, they do that as a liability.

Do the tv's in La Quinta Inn have jacks that you can hook up a gaming system or does any hotel have this?

Q. Im leaving next week to arkansas and we are going to be staying in La Quinta Inn. I get my rock band game the same day and want to play it while im down there. So if you know if this hotel or any hotel tv's allow you to hook up gaming systems, let me know.

A. its pretty much 50-50 with the jacks call ahead and ask, but here in ohio red roof inn already has game systems but they're like nintendo 64
