What's the best deal for Disneyland Aneheim?

Q. My wife and I want to take our 4 year old for her first trip. What's best, Disneyland Hotel on site, or an off site hotel?

A. it is much less expensive to stay off site - you do not get the full "Disney experience" as some might say, but you sure do save a heck of a lot of money - book a room online directly from the hotel website at least a month ahead and you will save even more, plus the room will be cancellable up to the evening you are supposed to arrive with no charge in case of a last minute emergency - Choice Hotels are one I would recommend, they have several economy brands in the area

Is AAA good for their travel agent services?
Q. Still trying to plan our Disneyland vacation where we plan to spend half in Anaheim, half in either Carlsbad or San Diego. I am getting frustrated trying to find a high rated, reasonably priced hotel and deal with tickets to the places we want to go, etc. I have never used a travel agent before and am wondering is it worthwhile - Cost and for good planning?

A. Not to brag, but AAA is great for most travel services. Once you speak to a travel agent, you will most likely get the best prices available and be assured that your reservations are completely safe.
Another thought: If you are a AAA member, you can use your AAA card and save at lots of places like departments stores, restaurants, etc.
Last year, I made my reservations locally to stay in San Diego to go to Sea World. I saved on the hotels and other activities down in San Diego to basically cover the cost of a one year membership at AAA. I have been a AAA member for almost 30 years also.

Honeymoon suites at Disneyland hotels or nearby hotels?
Q. Does anyone know if any of the Disneyland hotels offer a honeymoon suite, or a nearby hotel that does? Has anyone stayed at one and if so what was it like?

A. I know the Disneyland hotels offer 1 and two bedroom suites and some are even concierge level. Try Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. I have stayed in disney suites in resorts in Orlando but not Disneyland. But how could you go wrong with Disney, they are known for their world class service and resorts! If you need a great Disney travel agent email me and I will send you her info, she is great and will get you the best deal! If you can afford the splurge stay concierge level, it is such a nice treat! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
