What's the minimum age to book a hotel room in tangier, morocco? ?

Q. I'm planning to stay in Tangier for about 2 weeks, and I'll be 20 years old. If I go next August I'll be 21.
So will I be able to book a hotel room at my age

A. Yes you are old enough to book a room on your own.
Tanger is a great place but realistically 2 weeks is too long to stay here.
Check into Hotel Continental at 36 Rue Dar El Baroud which is in the medina.
The reason I suggest this one is because it is the oldest hotel in Tanger built around 1860 and has fantastic interior decor.
The Continental overlooks the Straits of Gibraltar and as the old port is now closed and due to reopen as a marina it is a lot quieter.
A room costs abour â¬36 per night but you should pay in local currency.
Stay a few nights and get the feel of Tanger.
Get a bus to Chefchaouen and stay a night.
Back to Tanger and get the train to Marrakech for 3 or 4 nights.
Plenty of other great places to visit.
Try tripadvisor.com for some good advice.

ps - do not get the Continental confused with the Inter Continental which is a newer hotel lacking in ant charm. The Continental is in the medina and is THE place to explore.

Where can we go for a cheap and cheerful long weekend away in February?
Q. I live in Poole, Dorset and my boy and I would like to have a cheap long weekend away at the end of January or early February. We could fly from Bournemouth or Southampton airport ideally.
We would like somewhere where hotel accomodation and food and drink is reasonable as well as the flight costs.

A. Cracow!

Very nice city to visit, absolutely lovely. Similar to Prague. Flights are with easyjet from Bornemouth and approx. 30 quid return per person. Fly out on the 12th, 17th or 19th Jan and return on the 15th or 22nd.

Alternatively you can fly from London to Berlin for roughly the same price, also with easyjet. The advantage here is that flights are daily, you are not so restricted on the flight dates.

Yet another alternative would be to fly from London to Marrakech for 80 quid return per person. Fly out on the 17th or 18th Jan and come back on the 21st. Also easyjet. It is more expensive, but you would be going somewhere slightly warmer...

What is there to do in Marrakech, Morocco?
Q. I am heading on a little holiday to Marrakech to get away from the cold? Just wanted to hear from people who have been, what they thought of it. And what are some recommendations for things to do :)

Thanks all in advance

A. have you every heard the song "marrakech express" by crosby, stills, nash and young?

anyway, you will enjoy your trip. their culture is totally different from ours and their weather is sunny. you would love their food and coffee! when you get to your hotel, you can make arrangements to take tours around the city and outskirts.
there is a lot of history in that area. the islamic culture and european culture intermix and their architecture is outstanding.

also, from morocco, you can take a ferry and go to the canary islands. my sister who is an artist loves it there. the beaches in that part of the world is glorious.

have a great trip and take loads of photos!!!!!!!!
