How can I get a REALLY good deal to go to Vegas on New Year's?

Q. I know all the casinos and hotels have their deals. But I'm looking for the good stuff - packages which include great hotel rates, maybe even some VIP stuff for the clubs.

A. You won't find anything cheap, that's for sure. That is the biggest night of the year here. You will have to go to each hotel website to see what they are offering for that night. Most are probably sold out by now. People usually book NYE a year in advance.

What is the CHEAPEST place you have ever been able to find airling tickets?
Q. I am trying to find REALLY CHEAP air tickets and places to stay for the first week of June in Los Angeles. I have some friends that need to get there for a very important unexpected meeting and we need to find the very cheapest way to go about it, because they don't have much time to prepare for it.

Any help you could give would be awesome. I need to know websites to look at, or places to call that have had the BEST deals. I have already looked at all the obvious ones like Orbitz and Travelocity -- what are some others that may not be so well known, but have great rates? Also, if you know a particular airline besides Southwest (which I have already checked also) Please let me know. Also if you know of any really good hotel deals.

Please help, we need to get them there and our budget is VERY limited!

Thank you for any help.

A. I use hotels.com to find places to stay, and StaTravel.com (but make sure you double check the description, they mix Hostels in with Hotels).

I know they're well known, but I have found Expedia to be quite good for finding cheap flight prices.

What is the best Starwood or Marriott Brand Resort?
Q. I've got a bunch of Marriott Rewards points (200,000) and Starwood points (100,000) that I'd like to use for a trip. It will be for my family or maybe just my wife and I. We definitely prefer tropical locations, but probably limited to US/Mexico/Caribbean locations. Any suggestions on the best resorts to consider? We're looking for a great hotel and a good deal. Good diving/snorkling and or kids club is a big plus. Also, finding a place with 2BR units or villas would be awesome. Thanks!

A. We were on a cruise last year that included Grand Cayman and we drove by the Marriott Beach Resort there. It had been rebuilt after a hurricane and it looked fantastic. It's right on seven-mile beach and within walking distance of several things to do. I believe they also have a shuttle to Georgetown which is also very close (5 minute drive).
We really enjoyed Grand Cayman and the U.S. dollar was accepted widely there so no reason for currence exchange.
Make sure if you go to visit stingray city-it's an experience you won't forget.
By the way, the water temperature in November was 81 degrees. :-) Make sure if you consider this area to think about hurricane season from July through October.
