Where can I find cheap hotels in las vegas?

Q. I am trying to get a cheap hotel price in vegas. Any help would be great, thanks!

A. I've been checking for weeks, & right now they are offering some great deals for Vegas online, I ended up using Expedia.com, & we're staying at New York New York for $60 for the first two nights & $120 the last night (Friday), but there's crazy deals all over right now, especially if you're going after the holiday weekend. I saw some hotels (well known but I hear are pretty dirty or scuzzy) like Circus Circus for under $30 a night. So check them out. (Expedia seemed to be the best priced travel sites online, better then travelocity & priceline, etc.

Have fun!

How can I find the best and cheapest hotels in Las Vegas?
Q. I am planning a trip to Las Vegas. I have already booked a flight but have not found a good hotel. Because my budget is limited, I was wondering if anyone in the Yahoo Community could suggest a website or directory for hotels.

A. The best way to find hotels cheaply is to use http://www.hotelsitedirectory.com/ because this way you avoid paying third party booking engine fees. Use Hotel Site Directory to find direct hotel information and phone number and website. Call the hotel and book. Trust me best way to save money!

What are some of the cheap hotels in Las Vegas?
Q. There are 4 of us and we want to share a room in Vegas for 2 days but we don't know which are the cheapest hotel there. I tried to search but there is not so many options. Hope that maybe some of you guys have the best deal for us.

A. You get what you pay for in Vegas and when you book on weekends you pay up the ass for any strip hotel.

I was just there last week and managed to stay for cheap by staying at three different places throughout the week. It was a hassle to check in and check out but we had a rental car so it was worth the time for all the money we saved.

Stayed Wed/Thur @ Planet Hollywood (Prime location/Sweet Rooms, Good Price) around $79/night (Expedia)
Stayed Fri/Sat @ South Point (Ultra Cheap, Decent Rooms) around $79/night (Expedia) compared to $200-300/night on the strip
Stayed Sun/Mon/Tue @ Excalibur (Uber Cheap, Crappy Rooms, Decent View) around $39/night.

Tried to slip the desk clerk at Excalibur a $20 for a room upgrade but she was too oblivious to realize what was going on and woulnd't give us the upgrade unless we paid $30/night. Decided to save our money for gambling.

Pics of all hotels are posted on my trip report on my blog
