So tomorrow I leave for boston and we are staying at the Extended Stay Deluxe in Burlington over on Main St. Looking to see what would be the cheapest way/route of getting from the hotel to some mass transit or the cheapest way from the hotel to Boston. We DO have a car at our disposale. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
A. Traveling on the T(www.mbta.com) is your best way to go. Burlington has a local bus (781-270-1965) that connects at several points with bus route #350. The 350 is NOT an express route. It has full day and weekend service. The terminus is Alewife Station in Cambridge, from which you can take the Red Line and have connections to the entire bus and subway system.
The first link in the source list is an MBTA map of the Burlington area. The second is a schedule for the 350 bus route inbound to Cambridge. Scroll to the right side of the schedule page and you'll see the cost of the trip. If you'll be staying for a while, get a Charlie Card (the card is free; you add value to it in order to use it)

What hotel should I stay at by Boston University?
Q. I just got tix to the Dropkick Murphys show on Saint Patty's Day! The show is at the Paradise club by Boston University.
I'm from New York, and have been to Boston a few times before, but i was wonderin if anyone knows any dirt cheap hotel/motels there are right by the club (by Boston University). Any recommendations? I'm staying only for one night.

A. The Buckminster Hotel also in Kenmore Square is cheaper. However, there are no dirtcheap hotels anywhere in Boston. None, Zip! Less than $100 is out of the question. Try a suburban motel. There's a Super 8 motel in Watertown that's about $90 and only about 5 miles from the Paradise. Of course, if you don't have a car, forget it. Maybe take the Chinese bus, go the the show, stay out all night, and take the first bus back in the morning. You'll save a bunch of $$ that could be spent on partying!
Is there a CHEAP hotel near New York Penn Station?
Q. I want to take the Amtrak Northeast Regional from Boston South Station to New York Penn Station. I was wondering about any cheap hotels around NY Penn Station. I can settle taking NJT somewhere near Penn Station. I am talking $100.00 or less/night. If there are none, what is the closest CHEAP hotel near an NJT station. Thanks a lot in advance.
