What is your favorite hotel in New Orleans?

Q. I am interested mainly in the Garden District or in the French Quarter. If your favorite is in the Quarter, how noisy is it at night? Price is not really a consideration.

A. My favorite is probably the Omni Royal Orleans in the French Quarter. It is on Saint Louis Street at Royal Street, which is busy but isn't a party zone like the first 7 or 8 blocks (starting at Canal Street) of Bourbon Street.

Noise from the street IS a consideration when choosing a hotel in the FQ. It isn't really an issue anywhere else in New Orleans, including the Garden District.

If you stay in the FQ and are concerned about noise just stipulate an interior or "courtyard" room when you make the reservation. Call he hotel a few days before your trip and speak with the manager (not just whoever answers the phone) and make sure they know you want an interior room.

Hope you have a great time!

How could i become like a butler or something in Buckingham Palace?
Q. Well I live in England so I am able to get a job here. I've always wanted to work in Buckingham Palace, maybe as a butler or a cleaner, and after seeing the royal wedding it has definitely confirmed this! So how would i go about applying for a job? Anybody have an idea of how much pay you would get or what kind of jobs are available for me? Thanks for your help! :)

A. Well, if you want to work there to see the Royal Family, you'd be better off working at Clarence House, Windsor Castle or Balmoral. The Queen's favoured home is Windsor.

Regardless of what department you wish to work in, or where - there is a section of job vacancies on the Official website of the British Monarchy, the link is below:

All the best :)

If that doesn't work out and you just want to work in a beautiful building with a rich history and interesting (temporary) residents, you could apply for work at the 'big five' hotels.

There is 'The Savoy', which is on the strand, so very close to Buckingham Palace. The Ritz, The Dorchester, Claridges and The Royal Garden Hotel also have brilliant reputations. Experience of working at such a hotel would probably put you in a greater standing to apply for a job at Buckingham Palace.

What is a good name for a resort in which unsavory activities occur?
Q. It's for a project in my english class. We're writing short stories and in mine there is a hotel where people come for the core reason of, well, getting it on with prostitutes that the hotel secretly provides it's customers. I want the name to seem normal, but have a double meaning that makes sense when you get what it is that they actually do.
