What is there to do in Miami?

Q. I'm going to be in Miami for about a day and a half before my cruise. I've never been there and looking for ideas on what to do. I'm not into clubs or anything like that. Do they have a boardwalk or anything? I was thinking about maybe taking a bus trip to Key West. What is the beach like in Miami?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

A. The beach is awesome! but make sure you go to miami beach, NOT key Biscayne. I live closer to Key Biscayne but I prefer Miami Beach 100 times more. Key Biscayne is dirty and Miami Beach water is beautiful and most of the time, but not always clear of seaweed. If your not into the crowed areas, anywhere between 20th and 37th avenue beaches are perfect. Also Lincoln Road is a nice place to eat, shop or enjoy a movie at the theaters. If you are traveling with kids there is the miami children's museum, very fun for kids about age 4-10. You might like to look into Parrot jungle island too for something different. Adults can enjoy that too.
You can also go to the coral gables area where you have the fabulous miracle mile and the famous Biltmore hotel!
hope this is helpful!

Where are there haunted places in miami?
Q. Does anybody know of any haunted places in miami that you have visited.like places that were built long long time ago and are abandoned now?i heard of the hospital in17300 NW 7th Avenue but i really want to make sure its haunted.im going with a couple of friends and i want us to be scared :)

A. The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables used to be a hospital during WWII. It was abandoned for a little while in the 1970s-80s (I think), and many claim that it's haunted by the soldiers that died there. It's currently being used as a hotel, so I'm not sure how scared you'll be if you walk through it today.

what are some must see places around miami?
Q. I'm going there for the first time and i don't know what to do, beside the beaches..

A. i suggest coral gables (some nice churches- architectural is amazing) miracle mile area- have a coffee and stroll around the biltmore hotel, historic and they have a great French rest., coral gables- great Indian rest., drive down old cutler to deering estate, matheson hammock park (to catch a sunset), fairchild tropical gardens, everglades (shark valley) and take tram tour, seminole hotel is on the way to shark valley and they have gambling it is an American Indian hotel- brickell avenue is also nice for a stroll, key biscayne - where the Flipper show was filmed, and just a nice island. dont waste your time at the malls though miami has a lot of beautiful nature. i walk around different areas of this city and it is truly beautiful just beware some places are equally awful --- just like anywhere.
