What is a good hotel in New York for a 1st time visit?

Q. My wife and I would like to go to NYC for our 5 year anniversary, where is a decently priced but clean hotel in the city. She wants to see a show and we would like to see Times Square, Ground Zero, Chinatown, Rupert G's Hello Deli etc. Please help! Thanks in advance! Sean

A. The Paramount Hotel is close to Broadway and Time Square. There clean and nicely price but very small.

Riding the bus to Singapore from Kuala Lumpur, where should I get off that has cheap accomodations?
Q. Bus schedules to and from Singapore? and I would also like a hotel that isn't so far away from Universal Studios and Marina Bay.

A. Usually the bus from KL will meet at the bus terminus along Lavender Road. There is only one stop in Singapore from which you can take a taxi to your hotel. Taxi in Singapore is inexpensive but you may take the MRT train nearby at Lavender Station to your hotel.

Whichever hotels you may book, you can get on the MRT line which is very extensive in Singapore from the station to the Harbourfront Station. From there, you walk to the next building, the Vivocity to the 3rd level for a monorail that brings you exclusively to Sentosa or the Universal Studios for a flat S $3 one way.

But if there are a few of you travelling together, best to take a taxi from the hotel to Universal Studios which will work out to be cheaper as one taxi trip into Sentosa island may cause about S $ 15 and a flat S $7 entry fee for the vehicle. If you work out the sum for 4 persons, it is cheaper and faster to go to Universal Studios by taxi.

For hotels, I will recommend the YWCA near Dnoby Gaut Station which is cheap and near the shopping areas of Orchard Road. You can also book hotels near Chinatown like the Furama, Hotel 88, Peninsula and Paramount Hotels which is near the business districts and the historical sites of Singapore.

What kinds of jobs can i get if i have a major in Business and Managerial Economics?
Q. I really want to try to work at a big movie industry such as Warners or Paramount. Will a major in this lead me there? And what other jobs will be available with this major?

A. You would succeed as a manager at a major hotel chain.

If you want to get into Paramount, buy a good camera and make a movie that you produce. Hire your friends as actors and pay them with pizza until you can sell the rights to the film. A college degree won't get you into Paramount. You will have to WOW them with something different. Go in with a finished film.
