What is cheaper, travel agency, travel sites, or booking everything yourself?

Q. Is AAA travel, Travelocity, Expedia, Hotwire, Orbitz, or going directly to the airlines and hotels cheaper?
Me and my friend are going to London for 10 days!! Just to travel around London.

A. Depends on what you need.

If you are getting a flight from point A to point B, staying in a hotel for a while then returning, you can do just fine all by yourself. You could check 20 websites for airfares and hotel costs, and you may find some slightly lower prices on some of them for some part of that trip. If you want to take a lot of time, you may end up saving a small percentage.

I have done a lot of travel around the US and find that booking most things myself works out quite well, but I am also not willing to spend 5 hours looking at different sites in order to save $20 on a plane ticket.

If you are planning a long, complicated trip with multiple stops and multiple hotels, and want to include attractions and events, then a travel agent may be worth it. I have used AAA travel folks a few times and they have been helpful.

how to get from honolulu airport to the hotel cheapest way?
Q. Hey, I did read somewhere about this, but not sure where, I do wanna know how to get from Honolulu airport to the hotel the cheapest way, bc know taxi is around $40. There suppose to be some bus a block away for $2??? Is that correct? Thank You.

A. The Bus which has stops at the airport is $2.25 but they don't allow luggage that can't fit directly on your lap. Any larger and the driver may or may not refuse your boarding. If The Bus doesn't work for you, there is a $9.00 dollar shuttle, "Airport/Waikiki Shuttle which is probably the safer bet anyway, less route confusion.

What are some good weekend out ideas for austin or corpus cristi?
Q. it will be three days, two nights, and about four girls i think. teenagers. are there any teen nights going on in some of the dance halls? also, what fun activities do you suggest? and what hotels (cheap but nice)?
yes, ive asked this before but i didnt mean to make it a resolved question. sorry!
i have searhed google for hotels and ideas but havent come up with much. i just wanted to see if anyone had any good ideas. theyd be very much appreciated. thanks!

A. There are a lot of fun things to do in Austin or San marcos maybe. There is a bat watching cruise thing in Austin that is cheap that goes out on town lake, or there is inner space caverns which is really fun to do in Round Rock. There are a lot of places to shop at. There is also something called Wonder World in San Marcos near Austin. I have never been but it looks great.
Also the cheapest hotel I have seen in Austin area is Red Roof Inn.
