What is the best part of FL to visit with a family on vacation?

Q. We are heading to FL in April. I have 2 girls 14 & 11. I want an Oceanfront hotel and lots of activities we all can enjoy. What part of FL do you like and why?

A. The Tampa Bay area has much to offer for family vacations in Florida. With an African jungle setting, Busch Gardens is always a favorite if you are looking for family thrills. Their SheiKra dive roller coaster will take you 70 mph straight down into a tunnel.

Nearby is one of the top family-friendly zoos, the Lowry Park Zoo. With rides and over 1,600 animals this one of the family vacations in Florida that you should plan on.

When it comes to beaches you canât do better then Tampa area's award winning âFloridaâs Beachâ. There are 35 miles of white-sand beaches along this barrier island with the waters of the Gulf on the west and Tampa Bay on the East.

How can I plan a trip to Tampa Bay?
Q. Me and my sister are planning to trip to Tampa Bay in June. The trip will last about 4 days to a week.
We're both going to be 18 years old.
We want to go to Busch Gardens and Sea World during the trip. We're thinking about buying these tickets: http://commerce.4adventure.com/eStore/scripts/skins/bgt/ticketsmultidaySWBG.aspx?__utma=1.1203698678.1294771655.1294776275.1294780562.3&__utmb=1.3.10.1294780562&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1294771655.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=-&__utmk=17315513&__utma=1.1203698678.1294771655.1294776275.1294780562.3&__utmb=1.3.10.1294780562&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1294771655.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=-&__utmk=17315513&__utma=1.1203698678.1294771655.1294776275.1294780562.3&__utmb=1.3.10.1294780562&__utmc=1&__utmx=-&__utmz=1.1294771655.1.1.utmcsr=(direct)|utmccn=(direct)|utmcmd=(none)&__utmv=-&__utmk=17315513

Is that a good deal? Is there a better deal than that? What else is there to do in Tampa Bay?

Where should we stay? We're going to have about 6 people including us, and none of us care about the quality of the hotel because we aren't planning on staying in the room for extended amounts of time.
None of us are drinkers, so don't suggest bars and stuff please.

Most importantly, we are on a BUDGET. We want to try and keep it under $350 per person if at all possible.

A. Sea World is about 1 1/2 hours away by car. Are you going to have time to go all the way over there when you are only in Tampa for a few days? Busch Gardens sometimes has deals on two days at Busch Gardens. A good place to eat in Busch Gardens is the Crown Colony where you can get the chicken dinner or the fish dinner. I haven't been there in a few years but it was always all you can eat. If you make that meal your main meal of the day it pays. The food is good. It is air conditioned and you have a view of the animals. Remember Florida is hot in June. You might want to call the Sand Pebble Resort in Treasure Island to see if they have one of their 3 bedroom apartments available that week. 727-360-1845. Actually you can get a two bedroom as there is a sleeper sofa in the living room. it is right on the Gulf of Mexico and there is a trolley out front that runs up and down the island. It has a kitchen so you can save a lot of money on food and there is a supermarket just down the road and Johns Pass where there are little shops and boats for dolphin viewing or fishing. Because there is a living room, you can relax and talk. The apartments are bigger than a regular hotel as this place was originally built to be a condominium. We go there once a year ourselves. June is off season in Tampa Bay. Most places will only rent to 21 and up. You do not say who is also in your group. You definitely want to go to the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. It gives a lower rate for students and it is world famous as it is the largest collection of Dali in the world. You can spend a whole day there. There are docents who give tours. In Tampa there is the Florida Aquarium, the Lowry Park Zoo and the Museum of Science and Industry, the largest of its kind in the Southwest.

What are some places you would recommend me to visit in Tampa/Clearwater/ St. Pete for my upcoming vacation?
Q. I'm leaving to Tampa in 2 more weeks and this is actually my first time visiting this area. I'm looking for some places with nice scenery and places where I can have a good time with my boyfriend. My hotel is right by the Tampa Airport, my boyfriend and I are in our early twenties and I will be spending my birthday over there. Thank you so much, 10 points for best answer!

A. Lets see if you want a fun night of dancing in a classy atmosphere go to Blue Martini in the International Mall or the Venue in St. Pete.

For sushi there is a great place called Blue samari (not even sure if you like sushi)

Go to St. Pete beach- close to Madera beach is very nice as well as Honeymoon island (one of Fl best beach) for scenery and tranquility there.

Hit up Charleys steakhouse (off of I-275) for delicious drinks and steak (kind of pricy but would be great for a birthday dinner)

You can always visit channelside for great night fun

Or down in downtown St. Pete it is older and much more romantic you can do horse carriage rides and such.

Lowry Park Zoo is awesome off of Sligh Ave

If I think of more I will add it later
