I need to book a cheap hotel near the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia?

Q. Hi I need to book a cheap hotel near the University of Pennsylvania. Price range around $50 or $60 per night, I'm staying 3 nights. I wouldn't mind suggestion outside of the University area. I'll be using public transportation from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the University, so the closer the better.

A. Your price range is totally not going to happen in Philadelphia, especially on weekdays. Even the lower priced hotels out by the airport are in the $80-$90 range.

And the University City area is one of the more expensive areas of town.

You're going to see if you can luck out and get Priceline to accept a rate that low. It's been known to happen on rare occasions.
