Searching for a Hotel in Rehobeth Beach Deleware?

Q. I'm looking for a hotel at Rehobeth Beach Deleware that is both pet friendly, and kid friendly. I have a 14 year old daughter and a 4 pound very well behaved Yorkshire Terrier. Any ideas?

A. There is a Clarion Resort Fontainebleau, it's $69 a night, and is kid and pet friendly. They have a pool, restaurant, all that sort of stuff.

10100 Coastal Highway, Delaware. (410) 524-3535

There is also an Americinn Rehoboth Beach, but it doesn't look as nice. Though there, children 16 and under stay free with an adult.

Hope that helps!

Where should I take my kids for summer vacation?
Q. I live in Ottawa Canada, so would like something on east coast, willing to go to US, no more than 2 days drive or major city that would have cheap air fare. Like the idea of a beach (Ocean) vacation. Would like to go for 1 week, maybe 10 days. Looking to spend around $2000 total. Any ideas? In the past we've gone to Sesame Place/Philadelphia/Atlantic City, Mt Tremblant, Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls

A. If you're open minded, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is an amazing family vacation spot. I have been most of my years, several of the past 9 of them with children, and never get enough. My family always rented a cottage when I was little, but that's become expensive so your best option is a no-frills but comfortable and clean motel, or chain hotel like a Best Western. When not travelling I live in Bruce County so I have to go to Toronto, and the flight is not horrifically expensive if you book in advance and take connecting flights, or flights on less busy days. You can fly into Philly or Baltimore, maybe even D.C. and it's just a short drive.

However, RB is not the place if you are offended by homosexuality. It is not a gay resort but because of the accepting nature of the community it has become a very popular gay/lesbian holiday spot. It is family oriented but open. If you are upset by this, your best bet is to go to smaller beaches in states like Virginia and the Carolinas.

If you're looking for something a little closer to home, I highly recommend Bruce County! Summers are beautiful here and we have many low-key beach towns, as well as lots of outdoor fun to be had. It's not the ocean but it's just as good. Port Elgin has the most beautiful sunsets in north America and is a friendly town, mixed between full-time residents and holiday cottages that fill up when not buried in the snow. It's about an 8 hour drive from Ottawa, 3 hours from Toronto.

what bus services take you from baltimore to ocean city?
Q. my husband and i want to go to baltimore and ocean city while we are in maryland. i have searched greyhound and they only have a bus around 5pm to ocean city. no matter what day i check. we will be checking out of our hotel at noon so we dont want to sit around for 5 hours waiting on a bus with a suitcase.... are there any other bus services from baltimore to ocean city that i can check?

A. The only other thing I have found so far is the Delaware bus service from north OC to Rehoboth and then from there you have to transfer at the regional stations and they go all the way to Wilmington DE where you can get an Amtrak ride to Baltimore.
I'm not sure if that fits your time frame or budget?

I'm not sure what date you are looking at, but DE also has beach express buses that run from Rehoboth to Wilmington on weekends.

Maybe if more people want a bus service to OC from Baltimore or Annapolis then maybe MTA can do it?

Hey wait a minute - I found that there is a service called Bayrunner that goes from OC all the way to BWI and also the train station in Baltimore! But that may be kind of expensive, but may worth it to you?
