Rio Hotel in Las Vegas only have suites but no standard rooms?

Q. I just wanted to make sure if Rio Hotel is only a all-suite hotel and they dont know any standard rooms? I believe their smallest room is 600 sq feet , is this correct?

A. here's from the Rio web site:
"Every room is a suite at the Rio! The Rio hosts more than 2,500 suites, providing spectacular views of Las Vegas. Every suite offers more than 600 square feet of spacious luxury, including a separate dressing area, couch, 32-inch TV, table with chairs, hairdryer, in-suite refrigerator, iron, ironing board and complimentary in-suite safe."

As the earlier poster pointed out, the word suite does not mean separate rooms - it is a largish room with couch and sitting area. Nice rooms - fun casino - but it is off-the strip which is a disadvantage in some people's minds.

How much would a taxi ride cost from Rio to the "strip"?
Q. I'm staying at the Rio Hotel the first week of August.

About how much would a taxi ride from Rio to the stip cost. Shortest route to a nearest hotel to Rio?

A. Yeah about 5$-7$ with tip.

And as far as the guy whining about Americans liking taxis, well maybe because we like the freedom to do what we want with our money. Unlike Euros who like the govt to tell them what to do.

Sure they have a free shuttle, but it can be very crowded and take a while if you have to wait for people to board. 5$ is nothing if it means not dealing with a crowded shuttle.

Cheapest place at the Rio to get breakfast?
Q. Where at the Rio Hotel is the cheapest place to get a breakfast.

I don't like long lines, and I like to be served. But buffets are OK.

A. Buffets are the best bet because you get everything including the beverage. A cup of coffee in a cafe can be up to $3. Otherwise, eat an early breakfast and the cafe has specials
