Pennsylvania hotel with giant pool room and balconies?

Q. I'm trying to recall a hotel in PA, possibly a Holiday Inn, somewhere near Hershey Park area/I-81 that had this giant pool room, at least 8-10 stories high, with most/all of the hotel rooms having balconies connected to it. Does anyone know what it is and if it's still open?

A. Holiday Inn Harrisburg - Hershey Area has only 4 floors...

Was it Comfort Inn at the Park ?

What are some good sites to see and things to do in Washington DC, Pennsylvania, and NYC?
Q. My sister and I are traveling to these places in the spring. Any recommendations? We are planning to visit the monuments, natural history museum, holocaust musem, see some shows in NYC and visit liberty island. Just not sure what to do in Pennsylvania. Any ideas on hotels, food, other sites we should be including?

Weather conditions in March or April? I am guessing still chilly, but anyone with insight. We are planning to stay 8-9 days. Thanks!

A. Oh my gosh...those are 3 of my favorite towns!

There's so much to do and see. Let me make a few suggestions:

1. A lot of stuff is FREE to see in all these towns...make sure you take advantage of that and save your money to eat all the glorious food. I don't know where you're from, but I'm from TX, so I don't get great Philly chesesteaks and cart food here.

2. If you're going to Ellis/Liberty Island do yourself two favors:
a. don't go on a weekend
b. buy your tickets in advance!
My friend and I spend 3 and a half hours just trying to get on the ferry as the line wrapped itself around Battery park. This is after we spent and hour in line for tickets. Luckily, it's worth it.

3. Philly is such a beautiful town. Make sure you see independance hall and the liberty bell, it really is a must see!

4. D.C. has so many mueseums! Make sure you take your time, b/c they're all so big. It's best to map out where you want to go BEFORE you get there so you can see what you want to see.

5. Have fun! Like I said, my 3 fave cities. I'm not much of an "eastern" girl, but I do enjoy spending time in these places! The kinetic energy is just great!

What are the best inexpensive hotels to stay in or around NYC?
Q. I'm planning on going to NY at the end of January and I'm looking for a clean, inexpensive hotel. The last time I was there in March, we stayed in Weehawken at the Sheraton on the Hudson and it was nice, but the ferry stopped at 10 and there's no path train there, so it was expensive to come back at night in a taxi after being on the town in the city. Any burroughs/cities close by with good public transportation that are somewhat safe and have good room prices?

A. DEFINITELY STAY IN HOTEL PENNSYLVANIA!. the hotel is located right across the street from Penn Station/ Madison Square Garden. It was built in 1919 by McKim, Mead & White, They also designed The NYC Municipal building, original Penn Station, which used to stand in what is now Madison Garden, and many other US national landmarks. The hotel's architecture is the gorgeous Neo-Renaissance style. the Hotel is very affordable. there are breathtaking views of the city from the bedrooms too. Glen Miller, the famous band leader, wrote the song Pennsylvania 6-5000 about the hotel. Glen Miller also stayed and preformed in the hotel for his Honeymoon, and numerous other times. Hotel Pennsylvania for the last 89 years has been the worlds most popular hotel after serving over 3 million guests! Hotel Penn is very clean a satisfying. Unfortunately the Hotel is being threatened for demolition so enjoy the hotel while you can. Even if you don't stay in this hotel please go to the Save The Hotel website at savethehotel.org. The website also has a myspace. If you would like to add them, their URL is http://www.myspace.com/savethehotel. The official website of the hotel where you can learn more information on staying there is hotelpenn.com. PLEASE HELP AND SAVE THE PAST!
