Is there a weight or size restriction on the Stratosphere rides?

Q. I'm going to Las Vegas in a couple of days and was wondering about any restrictions when it comes ot the rides on the top of the Stratosphere hotel. I know that you have to be a certain height, but what about weight?

A. ON weight without being a wise guy. If you can fly here on a plane with no special accommodation, you can ride the Stratosphere. If you feel there will be a problem, customer service at STrat will help you out when you arrive and before paying admission to the top.

how many rooms are in the stratosphere hotel?
Q. im going to las vegas for the summer i want to go to the stratosphere hotel i was wonderig how many rooms are in the hotel?

A. There are 2,427 too many rooms. That place is gross.

What is it like for a 15 year old In Vegas?
Q. Hey guys!
So me, my brothers and mum are going to Vegas for 4 nights. I'm 15 and my brothers are 20. We know we're not old enough for casinos haha :) but were not really interested in gambling. I heard there are some pretty cool things to see, and were staying I the stratosphere hotel ( if anybody knows that hotel) which looks pretty cool. And I heard there are cool restaurants too which I'm excited about.
But yeah, if someone is around my age and has been to Vegas, what's it like? :)
Thanks guys!

A. Since you're staying at the Stratosphere, make the trip to the top. There are a few rides at the top for the more adventurous sorts - think carnival rides at 1000+ feet. There is also a descender ride from the top to the ground - kind of like skydiving but without a parachute.

You can spend a couple of hours at the Midway at Circus Circus. They have lots of carnival type games where you can win small prizes.

There is plenty to do and see along the Strip, including free shows at the fountains at the Bellagio, the Pirate Show at the TI and, the volcano at the Mirage. There are several malls along the Strip, so even if you don't buy anything, you can still spend several hours browsing through tons of interesting stores. Visit the Pinball Hall of Fame - there are a lot of playable pinball machines and classic arcade games - which should be good for a couple of hours.

If you like classic cars, visit the car collection at the Quad (formerly Imperial Palace). Free coupons for this can be found at:

And there are plenty of restaurants of all types from buffets at the casino to 4 and 5 star restaurants. You might enjoy places like Dick's Last Resort (Excalibur), Kahunaville and Gilley's (TI), Cabo Wabo and Pink's Hot Dogs(Planet Hollywood), Harley-Davidson Cafe or the Hard Rock Cafe.

You didn't mention when you were coming, but if it is during late spring or summer, you can also take advantage of the pool area.

You shouldn't have too much problem being out and about as long as you stay with your brothers. There is a curfew in town for 16 and under, but you won't have a problem because they are 20 as long as you aren't loitering in a casino area.
