What subway should i take from Edison hotel to...?
Q. I'm currently visiting new york, and i want to know what is nearest subway to Edison hotel to take to go to "The empire state building" and then from there to "Central park"
P.s if there isn't any subway that takes me directly to The empire state building" and then from there to "Central park" can someone tell me the directions?

Thanks In Advance ^^

A. My friend, you're near the 49th Street subway station on the N, Q and R trains (Yellow Line). Take either downtown train from 49th Street to 34th Street-Herald Square

Once you exit the subway at 34th Street, walk a block east along 34th Street from Herald Square to 5th Avenue as indicated on the map at the link below.

From the Empire State Building to Central Park, just back a block west along 34th Street to the subway station, as indicated on the map at the link above, and take the uptown B or D trains, which is the orange line on the subway map, from 34th Street to 59th Street-Columbus Circle.

The one way fare on subway is $2.25 with a pay per ride MetroCard ($2.50 with a SingleRide ticket). If you're in town for a week, you can purchase a weekly unlimited ride MetroCard for $29, which will come in very handy when making multiple trips on the subway.

I hope this information is very helpful.

What are some good hotels in a safe area of Manhattan NY?
Q. Our family is planning on visiting New York City July 12. We are searching for good hotels in a safe and convenient area to all the shops and famous areas of Manhattan. We are looking into the Hotel Edison located in the Theatre District, and would like to know if this is a good choice. Also, please notify me of other hotels in the central Manhattan area you would recommend as a safe, clean, convenient choice. Our price is pretty flexible...nothing over $300 would be nice though.

A. I stayed in the Edison Hotel before and it was perfectly safe. Great location.

Another safe place I stayed in before is the Ramada New Yorker Hotel on 34th Street. Close to Macy's and the Madison Square Garden. But if I could chose, I would go for the Edison.
