A. Not really. Depending what you type in, it will target certain sites based on their priority within the search engine you used. For example, if you use Google, and you type 'cheap hotels California', it will target sites that probably have paid a fee or are a partner of Google first and then the rest. Doesn't mean, they are cheaper. Say for example, you want to go to Italy, and you type, 'cheap hotels Italy', if the search is in English it will target places closest to you, however, sites like www.venere.com probably has cheaper prices but you'd get others listed beforehand.
If your question relates to what is the best search site, I'd say Google. And, like I said, as an example, if you want cheap items in Italy, search in google.it, Google has the most business than most others.
