Has anybody stayed in Las Vegas at the Flamingo hotel in a Go room?

Q. I have to stay at the Flamingo hotel for a wedding and am trying to decide if it's worth it for @ $54/night to upgrade to a Go Room. If anybody has stayed at either a regular or a Go room, I'd like to hear your opinion.

A. I have only stayed in the Flamingo's Deluxe rooms, but I have seen the Deluxe Go rooms on a tour of the property. I would not call it a suite but it's a very nice room with a lot of added touches. The bathroom is really nice and if you're into high tech then you'll love it.

On the Flamingo web site you can upgrade for $50.

If you're going on the weekend and want the nicer room book it now. If on the other hand you're arrival/stay will be Sunday through Thursday. You would have a great shot at an upgrade with the $20 trick. >At check in, have a $20 in your hand so that it's partially visible to the check in clerk, ask if she/he has anything a little nicer available. They are going to tell you no/I can't do that/it will cost you/ etc in which case you're out of luck unless you want to pony up the bucks, or they will say, let me take a look and see what we have, in that case you have an excellent chance. If you get the upgrade, when the clerk hands you the room keys, you say thank you very much and give him/her the $20 handshake. Don't be too obvious.

This is a common practice in Las Vegas, if they have a lot of spare rooms you have a good chance. If you're getting a really low rate for the room there is a very good chance the hotel has extra rooms. Make sure you book your room through the Flamingo and not a wholesaler. It would be a waste not to anyway >the Flamingo has a best rate guarantee, if you find a better rate for them at an online travel site they will beat that rate by 25% .

What are some resonable hotels in Cancun on the beach but not too far from downtown?
Q. Maybe near the convention center or closer to town. How is the Flamingo hotel & Holiday Inn Arenas & Imperial Las Perlas, Hotel Calypso?

A. Hello Monkey, they are several hotels closer to town like the one you say but I can recommend you the Beachscape Kinha Villas & Suites is next to Caracol´s mall, Convention Center and Forum mall, also have the best beach in Cancun you can find information about in this link http://www.lomas-travel.com/cancun/hotels/Beachscape_Kin_Ha_Villas_and_Suites Wish you the best for your vacations!

Hotels with poker fish and best place to get a tattoo close to the Flamingo?
Q. I love to play poker. I would like to almost be guaranteed a profit. I need to know the hotel that has the most fish. I'm leaning towards Imperial Palace and Treasure Island. What do ya'll think? Also I want to get a tattoo when I'm out there. Is it hard to find a studio and is there one next to the Flamingo Hotel?

A. For poker, it depends what limit you want to play. Luxor and Mandalay Bay for lower limits.(no limit or limit ) For higher limits, definitely The Mirage and The Bellagio. And they are right next to to each other. If you go downtown )And you should, just take the bus to Fremont Street and enjoy the Fremont Experience. A free light show, very cool, every night on the hour starting at 7pm. Binion's Horeshoe for poker. And The Golden Nugget right across a short street that's closed off to cars. Real convenient. For Black Jack, The Las Vegas Club. Don't touch the slots between The Hoseshoe and the Las Vegas Club. This is important stuff. Write it down. Good luck, and have a blast!! :) There is a tat place next to the Flamingo, but if you look in the Yellow Pages, There are a ton of them!!
