Chicago L - Which station is this?

Q. What station is it where N State street and W chicago street meet (chicago red)? Check it out on google maps.

I am staying at WhiteHall and need to know if this is
a) safe area
b) if it will take us to mil park and navy pier area of town
i am on google maps and when i click it, it says Red, then is mentioned howard. I assume this is "Chicago" and mil park is "monroe". Is this correct?

A. Yes the Whitehall Hotel is in a very safe area. To get to Millennium Park get on the southbound Red Line at the Chicago station and get off at the Lake Street stop or the Monroe Street stop and walk east to the park. Howard is the last station to the north on the Red Line so if you want to go north take the train marked Howard. 95th Street is the last station to the south on the Red Line so if you want to go south take the train marked 95th Street. Use this map. http://www.transitchicago.com/assets/1/clickable_system_map/200806D.htm

Good Hotel in Chicago?
Q. I'll be in Chicago over the fourth of July and need a good and reasonably priced hotel. I would really like one in the Navy Pier and the Field Museum Area. There are no rooms available at the Best Western Inns. I was told that the Congress Plaza is being picketed by their employees so I don't want to deal with that. Any Suggestions??

A. I'm a Chicago Limo Driver and I know them all. I would suggest either the Hyatt at 151 e Wacker or The Sheraton on South Water st. From either of these you are by the lake and the Chicago River. You will be less then a mile from The Magnificent Mile (Shopper heaven) Navy Pier, Millennium Park,Buckingham Fountain,The Art Museum, They are both tall hotels with great views. The Hyatt mine be alittle less expensive. Getting a room over the holidays wont be easy so reserve now. If these are alittle over your head then I suggest The Whitehall on East Delaware street. You will be less then a block from the Hancock Bld.near Michigan ave. Not as close to the other places you like but not much more then a mile away.(cabs are cheap in Chicago) The prices for the Whitehall is about 150.00 a night. Good luck, your gonna love it here.
