Anyone know of a cheap hotel near the orpheum theater in Boston?

Q. Just looking for a cheap hotel room for tomorrow night somewhat near the orpheum theater. Easy to find and CHEAP! Help please!

A. I've had good luck with Priceline for that area, we've stayed in both the Club Quarters and the Downtown Hyatt for less than $100. The Orpheum is only a block or so from all 4 subway lines. You don't need to be that close, the Back Bay and Waterfront hotels are within a few stops.

Can you rent a hotel room with Vanilla Visa gift card?

Q. I have a vanilla visa gift card/credit card, it has $200 on it and I want to get a cheap hotel room , like motel 6 or something . Can I pay for a room with this card ? Has anybody done it before ?

A. That card can be used anywhere that Visa debit cards are accepted. Now, not all hotels/motels accept debit cards at time of booking a room, so you would have to contact the hotel/motel that you plan to stay at to find out what their policy is.
